We would like to wish a hearty "Thank you!" to everyone who came out for our May 30th concert to benefit the Augusta Alzheimer's Association. Your contributions helped us raise over $1,200 in support. Thank you for coming and giving graciously.

Attention Student Instrumentalists, 3rd year level and up! Come and play in the Columbia County Youth Orchestra! We will begin meeting on Thursday, June 4, 2009, at the Augusta Christian Schools Band Room, located at 313 Baston Road in Martinez, Georgia. Registration is open now! The registration fee of $25 USD (for registration and a t-shirt) will secure your place in the CCYO! The CCYO will meet every Thursday beginning June 4, 2009, until July 23, 2009, from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. Click here to register!!!

The conducting seminar scheduled for July 6-18, 2009, with Maestro Florin Totan from Romania has been postponed to 2010! This is a real privilege to study and learn for all professional conductors and musicians, as well as those aspiring to be. Learn more here!

In other news, of interest to the community at large, we are currently exploring the possibility of establshing a center for the arts in the CSRA (Central Savannah River Area), and making it our permanent home. This proposed facility will also be a performing venue for other arts events in the area, as well as a center to attract fine programs hosted in our community.
